The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The novel tells the life story of Anthony Patch and his wife Gloria, representatives of American society in the 1920s. Fitzgerald describes the "lost generation" of his time. People with means, heirs of rich families, who received a good education, do not see anything in front of them that could become a purpose in life. The hedonistic lifestyle does not bring them happiness.
